Industry Beam Electroslag Welding Process with Column Boom Structure

1. Introduction

This machine adopts vertical type electro-slag welding, which can weld the inner baffle and around plates more reliably. There are CONSUMABLE NOZZLE type and WIRE ELECTRODE type ESW. For Consumable nozzle type, it has the advantages of simple operation, low investment and high usage cost. While, for wire electrode, its operation is very complicate, investment is larger and usage cost is lower.

3. Working principle

For tighter welding of internal baffles to box-beam, there is space left ahead of welding between baffles and box-beam during assembly of baffles. First hoist the box-beam post CO2 back-welding to frame of this machine, then the electro-slag welding power hung on the boom will perform vertical electro-slag welding at the precut hole of work-piece. The column-boom frame can travel at will along lengthways direction of work-piece.
